Are you interested in joining our mentorship program? We warmly welcome 6th-8th graders from the NYC metropolitan area to apply and begin their journey towards personal growth and excellence. For high school students looking to positively impact their communities, WIYY provides an ideal platform. Our program offers a supportive environment where students can thrive, learn, and connect with accomplished high school mentors who are committed to making a difference.
18+ and wanna get involved, no problem. Volunteer today to be a Program Facilitator at WIYY. You will play a crucial role in overseeing and facilitating our mentorship program. Your responsibilities include ensuring impactful and productive mentoring relationships, reporting directly to the board, and contributing to the overall success of our participants' personal and academic growth.

Who’s eligible to join the What Is Your Why program?
Our program welcomes middle schoolers in grades 6-8 who have been affected by the foster care system. High school students in grades 9-12 can join as mentors. Adult Community Members who are looking to make a difference can join as Program Facilitators
2. What is the role of a Program Facilitator at W.I.Y.Y.?
The Program Facilitator oversees and facilitates our mentorship program, ensuring each mentoring relationship is impactful and productive. They provide ongoing support and training, manage communication between mentors and the board, and help develop program initiatives.
